TRUE VINE'S STORY

Our congregation was birthed in 2009, when eight families sought a return to simple Gospel preaching, traditional family values and Biblical mission work. Many of the first planters had been discipled by long-time Brunswick pastor Alan (and Judy) Hendrickson. Initial planters met in a local farmhouse, then a large garage near Mora, then purchased a former flooring store at 130 S. Park Street. The church continues to base its outreach there, one block from Union, near the center of Mora's quaint downtown. Its first planting pastor was Marlin Harris, who served True Vine for 12 years. The church affiliates with the AFLC and offers a weekly Celebrate Recovery worship gathering every Thursday night. New pastor Jim Johnson focuses on pastoral visitation, Gospel preaching, and developing micro-groups with the help of Global Discipleship International, a ministry led by author Greg Ogden. His books, Discipleship Essentials and Transforming Discipleship, remain at the core of True Vine's teaching.

What do we value?

We seek to know Jesus better, to show Him to those we meet, and to grow new disciples of Christ who make more disciples.

Open Arms

The mission of our Church is to glorify God by making disciples through the gospel of Jesus Christ. God’s mission and the mission of His Church are inseparably linked.

Gospel Focus

As Jesus Christ works in and through us to fulfill our mission and pursue our vision, we expect to see results in three areas: Community Transformation, New Church Formation, Next Generation Empowerment.

Life Recovery

Celebrate Recovery offers a person the opportunity to participate in a group fellowship where love and hope combine with God’s purpose to mend our lives.
